Swot Anaylsis free essay sample

I have read and understood the rules on paraphrasing and referencing and followed these conventions carefully. Signed: Seon Wall, Christopher Moore, Daniel Bates Date: 12 October 2012 1. Introduction The project provided is intended to describe the history of Sony Computer Entertainment and to give a SWOT analysis of the company. Its purpose is also to give references, a conclusion and an appendix all in our own work. 2. Company History Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo Company was the original name for Sony. It was renamed to Sony to help give it the edge over competition which turned out to be a great success. Sony has released many different products over the years from transistor radios, computer chips, floppy disks, transistors, game consoles and mobile phones. The first Sony-trademarked product was a pocket sized radio in 1957. It sold for precisely U$40. In the early 1990s, Sony Computer joined with Nintendo to create a Game console known as a PlayStation. We will write a custom essay sample on Swot Anaylsis or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page Sony and Nintendo combined two pieces of equipment together, Sonys CD-ROM drive with the graphic expertise of a workstation. The PlayStation was first released in 1994 in Japan, due to serious competition Sony decided to take technology a step further and decided to make production in the US a year later. Several years after the PlayStation, Sony decided to design their own website known as PlayStation. com which helped to sell game consoles and software online. Also in 2000 the PlayStation 2 was created and sold worldwide. This console has become the most successful gaming device ever made. â€Å"Sony have sold roughly 1. 52 billion ps2 consoles† since they have been released till 2011. The PSP was next on Sony’s list of creations. It was a handheld device and â€Å"first released in March, 2005 in the UK†. You could connect to the Ps2, Ps3 and other PSP’s on this handheld console. This device was said to  signal Sonys large-scale entry into the handheld gaming market. Shortly after releasing the PlayStation Portable (PSP) an upgrade of the PlayStation 2 was created. Simply enough it was known as the PlayStation 3. â€Å"The PS3 resets the bar in the entertainment industry by introducing a built in blue ray player into the device†. The main features on the PS3 would include its ability to use PlayStation Network. â€Å"PlayStation Network (PSN) is a multiplayer gaming and digital media online service used only for the PlayStation 3. PlayStation Network was hacked by a popular known hacking group known as Anonymous. This caused Sony to close down online services for three days. Anonymous announced that roughly 10 million accounts had been hacked. After hack nightmare, Sony bars lawsuits with new terms of service (TOS). I believe that Sony have made PlayStation Network much safer to use after the attack and are much aware of hacking. The PS3 is the best known for home entertainment purposes on the market†. This device is in competition with Microsoft Xbox and Nintendo Wii consoles. Launched in 2006, the  PS3  was redesigned in 2009 designed much slimmer and lighter and has now sold in the region of 66m units worldwide. â€Å"We can say with a fair amount of certainty that between 500,000 and 600,000 u nits were sold but will not know the exact figure until all of the finalized data is in†. 3. SWOT Analysis |Strengths |Weaknesses | |1. High Quality Products |1. High Prices | |2. Well Known Brand |2. Shared Market with Competitors | |3. Future Awareness |3. Damaged Reputation | |Opportunities |Threats | |1. Wide range of products |1. New competitors | |2. Developing Market |2. Price competition | |3. Online Market | | Table 1 SWOT Summary 3. 1 StrengtHs 1. All Sony Computer Entertainment product meets the high technology demand in the US and Europe. The best known product of Sony Computer Entertainment is the Playstation series; this is a great example of high quality products that Sony Computer Entertainment manufactures. 2. Sony Computer Entertainment is a very strong brand which gives it brand loyalty and credibility in their business relationships all over the world. The Sony Computer Entertainment brand name is worth over 10 billion dollars which may sound good, but Sony Computer Entertainment has lost 12% of its value in a single year. They are now ranked the 85th most valuable brand pposed to 25th in 2009. 3. Every console is anticipated with great excitement and this imminent product launch gives Sony Computer Entertainment confidence for the future. Sony Computer Entertainment will have a lot of anticipation for the launches of the Playstation series worldwide. In Japan alone Sony Computer Entertainment sold over 80,000 Playstations within 24 hours of the launch. 3. 2 weaknesses 1. Due to Sony Computer Entertainmentâ₠¬â„¢s high quality products, many of the products they sell are very high in price. This means that competitors have an edge on Sony Computer Entertainment. Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii are Playstations strongest competitors because they manufacture there products cheaper there for selling them at a cheaper price making it more affordable to the average person that wants to play games etc. 2. Sony Computer Entertainment has a shared market with multimillion dollar companies. Such as Microsoft, Nintendo and the biggest one of them all Apple. All these companies pose a big treat to Sony Computer Entertainment and there market range. Sony Computer Entertainment lost millions of dollars in revenue when the Nintendo first released the Nintendo Wii, because the Nintendo Wii is recognised as a much more family orientated console opposed to the Playstation 3. 3. Sony Computer Entertainment lost over 170 million dollars when the Playstation Network got hacked into in 2011. A lot of users switched to Xbox when the Playstation Network got hacked, Sony Computer Entertainment Countered this problem with the announcement that they will be giving all users who had Playstation Network account two free downloadable games. But this still didn’t fix all their reputation, and do this day Sony Computer Entertainments Reputation is damaged. 3. 3 opportunities 1. With Sony’s wide range of products they can easily branch into other sectors of the entertainment industry. At the moment Sony have: Phones, home consoles, handheld consoles, televisions, computers, mp3 players etc. They are a very versatile company and with the loyal customers who buy all their products, they will find it easy to sell whatever they bring out so long as it’s new and innovative. 2. With Sony being in the entertainment industry, which is a developing market, they have an unlimited amount of opportunities to further their products and push technology to the limits. We already see smart-phones, next generation consoles and smart-televisions. In 2015 the new next generation consoles are expected to be released, which will give Sony a chance broaden their product quality. 3. The online market nowadays is vastly taking over buying discs. Sony can now sell all their products for the Playstation 3 on the Playstation 3 store. This will decrease shipping costs, packaging costs and will also be able sell the games straight to the user, instead of retail stores. 3. 4 Threats 1. One of the biggest threats in the industry is new competitors. This can be very harmful to a company because a new competitor means they have new fresh ideas. This would keep existing businesses such as Sony on their toes. For example; for the first quarter of 2012 Nintendo Wii had more sales than both Microsoft and Sony. The Nintendo Wii is not a brand new product but, it is newer than both the Playstation 3 and X-box 360. 2. Another big threat is this industry is the price of products. Price is a big factor when trying to sell products. Usually the lower the price the more the company sells. A lot of companies are lowering their prices for their products so that they can compete with the other companies who are trying to sell similar products, for example; Sony’s Playstation is in direct competition with Microsoft’s X-box and Nintendo’s Wii. 4. Conclusion I conclude that Sony Computer Entertainment is a very versatile company which has many strengths and opportunities in which it can expand itself into other areas of the entertainment industry and surpass its competition.

Achebe essays

Achebe essays After reading these two essays on racism in this novel, I did realize that racism was very present. However it is present only in strong under tones and is rarely blatantly exposed to the reader. Throughout his essay, Achebe talks of how Conrad used Africa as a background or setting only, and how he "set Africa up as a foil to Europe,"(Achebe, p.251). I interpreted this idea of Africa and Africans as more of an opportunity and less of a place or people when, Achebe says "The African as a human factor," (Achebe, p.257) Achebe does a wonderful job of revealing all the hidden racist characteristics of the novel, some that people might have never picked up during a casual read. He finds specific examples from the text, and points out that there is a lack of certain characteristics among the characters. Achebe then compares the descriptions of the "Intended" and the native woman. Explaining that the native mistress "fulfills a structural requirement of the story: a savage counterpart to the refined European woman,"(Achebe, p.255). This lack of human characteristics is what Achebe says contributes to the large amount of racism within Conrad's book. If we look at it like this, I learnt in religion that human expression is one of few things that make us different from animals, along with such things as communication and reason. If these characteristics are not given to a character in a book, what is an educated reader to think about that character? Especially in this case because this book takes place du ring a time when the Europeans believed it was their right to dominate and civilize all lesser cultures. C.P. Sarvan attempts to comabt Achebe's opinion of the differences between the two women. C.P. Sarvan said that Conrad viewed the native woman as a "gorgeous, proud, superb, magnificent, terrific, and fierce."(Sarvan, p. 284) This to me is where it gets very confusing, because now these to essay writers have made me believe that the mi...

Dockland was very close to the city of London which made it an attractive and preferable for establishment of the office as well as it is possible for residential development on the riverside to accommodate single high income households. The approach that applied to the development of London Dockland Area was clear and simple and it emphasized on attracting investment in that area. The LDCC was formed to develop this area. It is due to the initiative of the LDCC the filling of the old dock was stopped and it became most popular and preferable area for the people to invest. The approach that was followed by the LDCC during redesigning of the Dockland area was to improve the transportation. The development of transportation is considered as the key to the redevelopment of the London Dockland. The tenants of the new office desired more efficient transport facility that will link or connect the area w ith the city. In order to fulfil or satisfy the desire of its potential tenants it focussed more on the development of transportation facilities. The first phase towards the development of the dockland was developing the Dockland Railway links. Finance Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words - 6

Finance - Essay Example This is because when an employee cannot be understood, making good use of that employee will be hard (Arthur, pg 15). From my own perspective, communication skills play a very important role in moving the organization forward. It is through this quality that issues such as conflict, stress in the organization, and also good relationship between senior and junior employee can be managed. From the point of a new employee, it may be different. This is because individuals come from different background and what say to be a good communication skill may be different from their perspective. Problem solving skills, most employers currently are looking for employees who are motivated to handle challenges arising in the work place with little direction being offered to them. Such kind of people are able to know what kind of actions they are suppose to take when there are challenges or problems. For instance, employer don’t expect to tell their employees what to do when there is fire bre ak out but rather they expect employees to know that they need to take action to rescue the situation (Arthur, pg 24). In my own opinion, I think that having skills to solve problems is very important because it helps one to handle certain issues on their own. An advantage of this is that it helps an individual to think on solutions to the given problem. Loyalty, this is a key quality most employers do look for when hiring new employees. The issue of trust between employer and employee has to exist. Employers do not require employees who cannot be trusted while representing the organization. From the point of an employee, it may be challenging to be loyal due to conflict of interest. An employee may realize later on that the employer is dealing in illegal business such as drugs and so it may be hard on the part of the employee to be loyal (Arthur, pg 26). Competency, some occupations require skills in order to perform a task e.g. in accounting, and legal fields. When looking for a n ew employee, the employer must consider the job in offer and the level of competency of the new employee. For example if the job on offer is accounting job then the new employee must possess accounting knowledge from college, university. With this the new employee stands a chance in getting the job (Arthur, pg 30). This is a quality that must be considered in my own opinion. This is because when you hire a person who has a background of what he is expected to do, then I believe that the output of that employee will be high. Team player, most employers consider this quality because it plays a very important role in increasing productivity of the organization. This quality enhances the ability of people to work together towards achieving the organizations goal. From my perspective, team building is a factor that should not be overlooked while hiring a new employee. The aspect of having individuals working as a team normally increases their productivity and hence helps in working towar ds the organizations goal (Arthur, pg 34). To the new hiree, this will help him or her to get along with fellow employees in the organization. I think it should not be emphasized so much especially where we have a big company since other employees will take advantage over other fellow and they will not give all their input in the realization of the

Anti Virus Uses And Benefits Computer Science Essay This report presents antivirus protection, its definition and different types of. It shows how it is important of this program to protect computer. Because attacker spread viruses around the world, people need strong and effective antivirus program to prevent their computers from these viruses. In this report, will be mentioned the idea of antivirus protection types, how its work and which methods use and benefits of this program. Introduction A  computer virus  is a  computer program  that can copy itself and infect a computer. It is also used to refer to other types of  malware, including to  adware  and  spyware  programs that do not have the reproductive ability. In fact, the world has witnessed great development in the computer world and most of businesses have become highly dependent on the computer. Since most computers are now connected to the Internet it is increasing the chance for spreading these viruses which necessitated the presence of powerful software to protect computers from these threats. Antivirus software is a simple tool to use, but it has a large effect. It search on your computer for malicious files, viruses and spyware that are hidden somewhere. Definition and Types of Antivirus The Antivirus (or anti-virus) software is a program that used to prevent, detect, and remove malware, including computer viruses, worms, and Trojan horses. Such programs may also prevent and remove adware, spyware, and other forms of malware. These software scan throw the PC of the computer looking for viruses to remove it before the virus start to damage the computer files. There are different types of Antivirus software that have been developed over the years to keep up with the current virus issue such as Conventional Disk Scanner, Memory Resident Scanners, Behavior Based Detection and Start up Scanners. Some of this software can be run upon the users request and others are designed to be run every time the PC id booted up (types of antivirus). 1 of 4 Top Antivirus There is a lot of Antivirus software, but they are not built with the same power. The most powerful Antivirus software is the Shield Deluxe 2011- Antivirus Protection. This antivirus company protects tens of millions of home and business users across the globe. You can set your computer to update viruses weekly and run a complete virus scan. The system can be restored after malicious activity. It controls the status of the system registry and notifies users of any suspicious objects. The second powerful antivirus software is the Trend Micro Titanium Antivirus 2011. It provides complete and easy to use protection from Internet-threats. Then the Norton Antivirus 2011 come after which provide fast, responsive defense against all types of malicious software. The new Norton Protection System employs a multilayered set of security technologies that work to detect, identify, and block attacks. There is also the Panda Antivirus 2011 which is a good choice for windows that keeps the computer protected from any Internet threats. More over there is the Zone Alarm Antivirus software which is the best virus protection with significantly enhanced detection and removal capabilities. There are also the ESET NOD32 Antivirus and mthe Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 which are good on protecting (best antivirus software). How antivirus program work 2 of 4 Antivirus programs are designed to protect computer systems from viruses. These programs provide two levels of functionality when protecting against viruses which are real time protection and scanning of files stored on computer drives or disks (Anti-virus). Antivirus programs can detect viruses by two ways. First way is Footprint of virus program and this method is a common method that used to identify viruses. Footprint is the pattern of data that include file. The purpose of this method is comparing the virus footprint with a library of known footprints that match viruses. Also when using this method, viruses must be as viruses and then added to the library of footprints. Footprint of virus program has a one disadvantage. There is a time period when the virus is released to when the library of known footprints is updated.  Virus will not be recognized during this period and it could affect computer. In addition, Characteristics of program is the second way to detect virus es from computer. This method called heuristic scanning and it examines the actions that the program attempts to take or may attempt to take.  It looks at the type of system function calls that included in the executable code. It looks if this calls too suspicious, may flag the program as a possible virus and ask for user intervention. As footprint method, characteristics of program have a disadvantage which is that there is no time period when the computer is not protected after specific viruses are released (Anti-virus, n.d). Benefits of Antivirus Protection Downloading or buying any antivirus software program give chance for people to buy any desktop or laptop. Antivirus program is the best safe measure to stop and minimize risk and any effects. There are various levels of security protection for PCs and they depend on the particular antivirus program offered by trusted vendors. However, there are many benefits that all antivirus programs offer. First of all, it thwarts any virus that related damage. Any antivirus program helps to prevent damaging operating system and other functionalities of the PC from any virus that PC attached. Second, antivirus program maintains PCs security. This happens by updating antivirus package or creating a firewall to improve a PCs overall security. It helps to keep operation system running and internet resource  accessing and browsing experience. Third, all antivirus programs protect data and information. All information, critical data, presentations, files, documents, photos, and other material stored in the computer are secured from virus attacks infections. Finally, antivirus programs protect financial saving. Any unprotected or less protected PC is easy to attack from viruses. With effective antivirus program that protect the PC, you dont need help from technical support and loss a lot of money (Benefits of Antivirus Protection, n.d). Conclusion In sum up, the use of antivirus program is protecting computers from viruses attack. It helps to prevent data and information to be attacked. Antivirus program is software that installing to computer and use to scan PC to search any viruses can damage the computer. There are different types of Antivirus software that developed to use for production. There are many powerful antivirus programs that built with high quality of protection like Norton and MacAfee. Furthermore, this program can detect any virus by two ways which are footprint and characteristics. This kind of program has many benefits of using, it helps to prevent any virus that related damage to computer maintain CPs security and protect data and information. 3 of 4

The Character Of Macbeth :: essays research papers

The character of Macbeth was a classic example of a tragic hero. Though many factors contributed to the degeneration of Macbeth, the one that stuck out most was his uncontrollable urge to attain and retain power. His over ambitious desire to acquire power was let loose by the witches, with their prophecies of Macbeth becoming the Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor, and King of Scotland. At first Macbeth replied that such foreshadowing couldn't be taken seriously, because of the evil forces that lay behind them. However, when Macbeth was declared Thane of Cawdor, almost immediately after the witches' prophecies, he had private thoughts and ambitions that he could become King of Scotland. In an instant the witches had let loose Macbeth's over ambitious nature for imperial power. (An aside in I.iii.127-130 is a perfect example)   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Now that Macbeth's uncontrollable desire to become king had surfaced, he became solely focused on obtaining this goal. This included the murder of King Duncan. Lady Macbeth, wanting to be queen of Scotland, provided her husband with a plan to assassinate King Duncan. At first Macbeth hesitated to murder Duncan. He was afraid of the aftereffects and didn't deem it right to kill a king who was just and of such high stature. Unfortunately for Duncan, Macbeth's ambitions slowly overpowered his morals and loyalty. Even though Macbeth was uncertain, his ambition for power was able to take over his mind, and provided him with a sufficient excuse to murder King Duncan.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Macbeth had now achieved his goal, being the King of Scotland. His urges should have diminished, but they didn't. Macbeth was now dead set on retaining his new power. He became paranoid and feared Banquo, whose integrity and loyalty could allow him to avenge Duncan's death. Even though Banquo thought it was quite odd that Macbeth quickly acquired the titles the witches hailed him, he did not think Macbeth was capable of murdering Duncan. However, what really was bothering Macbeth was Banquo's sons were prophesied to inherit the throne. Macbeth would do whatever he could to prevent anyone, even after his death, from taking the throne. Macbeth wasn't just satisfied with being king; he wanted to have his descendants share the title as well. Acting on these passions, Macbeth hired two assassins and tried to kill Banquo and his son Fleance. Even though Fleance escaped, the murder of Banquo calmed Macbeth's nerves because he was safe from being charged with the murder o f King Duncan.

Healthcare Delivery Systems

Chapter 1 – Health Care Delivery Systems There are many interesting and important points in this chapter. Some of them include: Pennsylvania Hospital founded by Ben Franklin was the 1st US hospital University of PA was the US first medical school The AMA was founded in Philadelphia in 1847. The Flexner Report was published in 1910 and impacted the status of medical school education. Hill-Burton Act of 1948 provided federal monies to update hospitals JCAH which is now JCAHO was created in 1951. JCAHO is an independent accreditation agency for health care facilities (all types).Medicare and Medicaid were enacted by Congress in 1965 Privacy Act of 1974 – protect the privacy of information systems in federal health care facilities HCFA (now called CMS) was created in 1977 TEFRA in 1982 established the first Medicare prospective payment system EMTALA of 1985 protected patients against â€Å"dumping† HIPAA was passed in 1996 with components on standardization, simplica tion, privacy, and security SCHIP was established in 1997 to provide health insurance to infants and children not covered under Medicaid Notice all of the abbreviations used in chapter 1!The use of abbreviations and acronyms is very prevalent in the health care and HIM field. Important Concepts in Chapter 1 Continuum of Care – primary care, secondary care, and tertiary care. Most of us are familiar with primary care, care sought by a patient with medical professionals for current problem or maintenance of a problem. Secondary care is seeing a specialist, dermatologist, neurologist, etc. for a problem, often referred by your primary care or family doctor. Tertiary care is often provided in specialty hospitals. This can include specialty radiograph (PET scan, MRI), burn treatment, cancer treatment centers, etc. Health care facility ownership, there are three kinds of facility ownership in general; government, for profit, and not-for-profit non government (Faith-based hospitals f or example). Hospitals are organized with a governing body at the top, sometimes referred to as a board of trustees. Within the hospital and most larger health care facilities (rehab, clinics) there will be an Health Information Management (HIM) or Medical Records Department. However, Medical Records is an older term. Typical functions of an HIM department include, coding, chart abstraction, record processing, record storage and retrieval, medical transcription, release of information (ROI), cancer registry, and index complying and retrieving. The size of the HIM department staff will vary and is usually based on the bed size of the facility and/or annual visits processed (discharged, ED, Outpatient surgery etc. ). One of the most visible components of a health care facility and an HIM department is the coding function.Coding is also seen in outpatient area for physician office and other types of non-hospital based healthcare. This is based partially on the fact the coding is tied to reimbursement and funding for the facility/provider. In the US there are two main coding systems used; ICD-9-CM and HCPCS. HCPCS contains CPT codes which are often thought of as a separate system but CPT is part of HCPCS. CPT codes are used to report physician services regardless of the place of service (hospital, office, ED, clinic, etc. ).ICD-9-CM classification contains diagnoses codes which are used by all providers for coding. ICD-9-CM volume 3 is only used to report inpatient or acute care hospital procedures. Note: CPT does not have any diagnoses codes in it. If a physician uses CPT to code/bill for procedures, ICD-9-CM must also be used. A complete picture must be captured with the procedure and the diagnosis(ies) of the patient for coding/billing to be correct! Licensure and accreditation – your textbook makes a distinction between these wo. Licensure is often governed by state and can be for an individual or a facility. Licensure is most often required for a health care provider or facility to operate in that specific state. Accreditation is for a facility and is most often voluntary. JCAHO is one accreditation body, others include; AAAHC, AOA, CARF, NCQA, NCCHC. New Developments: When the implementation of more digital technology in the area of health care and specifically in the HIM area.Electronic health records (EHR) are being discussed and used more and more in the US. With this type of record gathering and storage, methods of authentication have been updated for the digital age. These include electronic signature. Security measures have also been updated which include smart cards and biometrics. Your textbook also includes some excellent websites for concepts in this chapter. You may also want to refer to this list when you are looking for journal articles to complete lab assignment 2-5 which will be due next week.

Crime and Teenage Curfew Laws Essays

Crime and Teenage Curfew Laws Essays Crime and Teenage Curfew Laws Essay Crime and Teenage Curfew Laws Essay Summary:    The enacting of teenage curfew laws in American cities such as Dallas, Texas is a good idea. Such laws can decrease the juvenile crime rate and provide an opportunity for teens who are at risk to become delinquents to receive needed help. Over the past several years, One reason I believe that teenager curfew laws should be effective in many communities is because of the high rate of juvenile crime. If there are fewer teens in the street there will be fewer crimes will be committed by and against juveniles. Although a nationwide study has never been conducted on curfews effectiveness in reducing juvenile crime, cities that enforced them have reported a decline in the rate of juvenile crime rates. In Dallas, Texas where a curfew for youths under age 17 took effect in May 1994, police reports show violent crime by juveniles has decreased by 30. 3% and overall juvenile crime has decreased by 20. 7% (Teen Curfews). In December of 1997, according to the time line Milestones in teen curfews in the United States, the National Council of Mayors concluded that cities that impose youth curfews experienced a significant decrease in juvenile crimes. Another reason I believe it will be beneficial to have a curfew is because these curfews provide an opportunity for teens who are at risk for becoming delinquents to get needed help. Gregory Bodenhamer says curfew laws are one of the most dependable, least intrusive methods to identify and help children neglectful and chaotic families that produce most of the nations young criminals. Law-enforcement officials say this about curfew laws; they are a straight forward practice and enforceable way to fight juvenile crime. They also say that any infringements on juvenile liberty will be outweighed by the safety benefits of curfews will bring. These are just several reasons I believe enacting a curfew will be very beneficial for youth Americans. We can use cities such as Dallas, Texas as a example of how when a youth curfew is applied, it can decrease the juvenile crime rate and make better communities all across America. This is the complete article, containing 329 words (approx. 1 i i am doing a argument essay on do curfews keep teens our of trouble could i get feedback on my intro please thanks Every single one of us has been there, where we are rushing to get home before our parents notice it is 11:15 when our parents have specifically told us â€Å"Be home at 11 o clock sharp, no later! † For parents curfews are a way for them to keep tabs on their children and know that if their child is not home by curfew they need to call and checkup. For teens curfews might just be there worst nightmare, knowing they must be home at a certain time defiantly sets some pressure on them to constantly check their watches. In my opinion curfews are a great way to keep teens out of trouble and knowing ones child is safe and free of harm. Curfews not only protect our children but also our society and the people in it. Other Limits Many Parents set up rules, and other boundaries in which their teens must follow. These rules are usually placed over their teens to control, protect, and teach their teen. Even though most is often the wise thing to do, but if you restrict this, but still allow your teen to curse or watch improper movies, and TV the restriction of certain friends will just confuse your teen. Curfews are often needed to prevent teens from getting into trouble late at night. A curfew should slightly vary depending on where the teen are, what they are doing, what they are planning for the following record and if they are trustworthy they should be given more freedom, and take their opinions into context when giving a curfew. Some well-behaved teens can be given almost full responsibility when comes to curfews. Curfews are usually most necessary for dating. Parents cannot always give their teen permission to stay out all night on a date. Teens can get into too much trouble when on a date late the obstacles and setbacks a weekday curfew sets for minors, a shortened curfew on weekends also has it own collection of cons. The weekend holds a significant amount of the time that a minor is able to relax and spend time with friends. It is no lie that there are minors who engage in illegal acts on weekends such as drinking, smoking, and drag racing. But the truth is that one less hour of freedom is not going to stop any of these offenses. By shortening curfew it will just push all of these events to an earlier time it won’t prevent any of them. It’s as though someone is just rescheduling a meeting or sporting event. The shortening of curfew will only provoke some minors to break the law just based on the idea of teenage rebellion and â€Å"sticking it to the man. The extension of curfew will allow parents not to worry so much about their child if they are required to be out beyond curfew for any job/activity related occasion. By extending the curfew police officers can turn their attention from catching minors trying to get home after curfew, to more serious offenses. Having fewer minors being ticketed for being out beyond curfew will in turn unclog the county court system, that has a portion of it s time eaten up everyday in handing out fines to minors and pushing them out the door only to see another offender come in.

Human rights abuses are routinely ignored in Egypt, where President Hosni Mubarak has resisted calls for democratic reform and remains President of the Egyptian Republic since the assassination of his predecessor Anwar Sadat in 1981. Saudi Arabia is a notorious oppressor of human rights and commits rights violations against women and religious and sexual minorities on a near daily basis. Since Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s largest producers of crude oil, the United States has turned a blind eye to human rights violations and has helped propped up the theocratic Saudi monarchy since the days of Ibn Saud.
